Robert Mackie originally opened in 1845 making traditional Scottish Glengarry and Balmoral headwear, “Bonnets” and since then, we have grown to become a leading Scottish knitwear manufacturer. The barra is Robert Mackie's classic beanie. Its versatile, relatively deep shape is suitable for both men and women, and allows it to be worn with one or two cuffs depending on convenience. The wool used, called Geelongora, is composed of 75% Geelong lambswool and 25% Angora, adding softness and comfort to the wear.
