The door, it can be for entry or for exit. We can look at it from the inside or the outside. It’s our connection to the world. After several weeks of lock down, this is this the particular link we wanted to highlight. The door hides the comfort of our homes, as much as it opens to others, dreams and elsewhere.
The new materials reflect this duality. An crafted canvas, smooth calfskin and suede remind us of our inner cocoon. Technical nylons and patent calfskin turn to the light from the outside. The color palette remains intimate in black and navy, but lights up in white, red, turquoise and pink to celebrate our rediscovery of the outside world.
The shooting of this new collection remained local. It was organized in front of the emblematic doors of Montmartre (rue Gabrielle, rue Burq, rue Durantin). Where ME.LAND shoes are designed. The models of the season are all artists from the new French music scene. We did not want to erase or get the property their characters, each of them has taken the pose with his/her own look and have chosen the shoes they preferred : Emma Daumas, Joseph d'Anvers, Valentin Vander, Maissiat, DeSaintEx et Margaux Simone.
